In 2009, at l’Université Européenne de Saxophone in Gap, two young saxophonists, Australian Jessica Voigt-Page and American Elizabeth Rosinbum (nèe Hanson) formed an international friendship. This friendship blossomed digitally for years, solidifying after the transformative experience that took place for both young women in 2009, until eventually both Elizabeth and Jess found themselves in Austin,TX.
With both saxophonists now living in the same town, Jess and Elizabeth formed Gap Duo, named after the place that shaped both their friendship, and their careers. Gap Duo seeks to spread new music for saxophone duo ensembles, whilst also breathing new life into some much loved classic works. Gap Duo have performed in the US and abroad, and enjoy working with young, establishing composers to create new music for the ensemble,.
